if rapunzel wanders into the wind chamber on tuesday for whatever reason, she'll find 2b reading a book in the common room in relative peace. her pod is next to her, as usual, resting on one of the neon green pieces of furniture. it's almost like she's asking to be bothered! ]

[ that's a bold move, rapunzel, assuming she has friends. ]

There was never any reason to give or get gifts. It's... impractical to be materialistic.

I happen to think sweaters are very practical in this kind of weather. But.... gifts aren't always about being practical. Sometimes, they're just a nice gesture from a friend.

You think of me as a friend?

Of course!

[ now time to execute her. ] I'm sure Pascal does, too.

[ pascal gives a single, stoic nod. but maybe he's just being polite. ]

I don't know, Toobee, I think you're very kind too. You're looking after Pod, right? And you appreciate Pascal.

[ a quick correction: ] Pod looks after me.

[ ... but then she becomes somber again. ]

I don't know if I'm worthy of kindness.

Well, I'm sure it goes both ways. And... you appreciate Pod.

[ rapunzel, disney princess that she is, just gives 2b a perplexed look. ]
